International companies keep arriving in Korea with the same plan: translate the deck, run the global playbook, manage it from headquarters or a regional hub. I watched that plan fail across so many industries that the pattern became my career.
Korea runs on presence. Buyers here trust the people they can meet, the teams that answer in Korean, and the partners who are still in the room in year three. Everything else about this market follows from that.
So instead of advising companies from the outside, I built what they actually need: operating companies inside the market, staffed by Korean teams, doing the work every day. That decision shaped everything that followed.
